Pixar has a knack for making movies that kids love--and adults bawl over. In honor of Incredibles 2 hitting theaters, Post Grad Problems has compiled a list of the five saddest moments in Pixar movies. Grab a tissue, and read on:
Bing Bong dying (Inside Out, 2015). The moment Riley Andersen’s imaginary friend Bing Bong faded into the Memory Dump was a tearjerker.
The entirety of Toy Story 3 (2010). This one should probably have been called Toy Story 3: Andy Says Goodbye to All His Toys.
The opening of Up (2009). It takes just four minutes for us to fall in love with Ellie and Carl’s relationship-and then be tragically dragged into a pit of sadness.
The opening of Finding Nemo (2003). This might be the only Disney-related movie that opens with multiple murders (of a mother fish and hundreds of unborn kids!)
Jessie getting donated (Toy Story 2, 1999). The saddest part is watching Jessie snuggle up to the person she loves the most after all these years, thinking they’ve finally been reunited. Spoiler: They haven’t.
