McDonald’s lovers who hate shelling out too much money on fast food have a reason to celebrate. The fast food giant is officially bringing back their Dollar Menu, although it will actually cost a little bit more than just a buck.
Starting January 4th, the company is rolling out what they’re calling their $1-$2-$3 Dollar Menu, which features several of their food options in each price range. Dollar menu items include:
- $1: Sausage Burrito, McChicken, Cheeseburger, any size soft drink
- $2: Sausage McGriddles, two-piece Buttermilk Crispy Tenders, Bacon McDouble, some small McCafé beverages
- $3: Sausage McMuffin with Egg, Classic Chicken Sandwich, Triple Cheeseburger, Happy Meal
McDonald’s hasn’t offered their Dollar Menu since 2012, and the company believes it lost out on 500 million transactions because of it. Since they got rid of their value menu, many other fast food chains have introduced their own cheaper offerings, including Burger King’s Value Menu and Wendy's Right Price, Right Size Menu.
