Easter Basket Treats That Keep the Sugar at a Minimum

With Easter just a few days away, there’s not much time left to fill those Easter baskets. And if you want to avoid that sugar rush that comes from eating too many sweet treats, candy-free goodies are the way to go. Your kiddos might not even miss the sugar with these toys, trinkets, and books.

  • Stuffed bunnies- A cute little bunny to snuggle makes the perfect Easter basket stuffer, or you could go all out and get this set of 12 mini plush bunnies from Amazon that are tiny enough to fit inside most plastic eggs.
  • An Easter joke book- When Easter brunch has dragged on way too long for your elementary schooler, they’ll be glad to have “The Don’t Laugh Challenge – Easter Edition Volume 2.” The book is part game, part joke book and it’s filled with silly stories and scenarios. The object is to read aloud and make the other players laugh, so you know it’s a lot of fun.
  • Bath bombs- What’s better than a bath bomb? Egg-shaped bath bombs in your Easter basket. These Body Candy Bath Bombs come in a dozen or half a dozen and you can choose a single scent, like Clementine, or get a variety.
  • LEGOs- Kids who are into the little building bricks will be happy with any set you give them, but there’s a new LEGO BrickHeadz Easter Bunny that would be ideal for the Easter basket.
  • Hatchimals- If you have a kiddo who’s into these toys, they’ll want this special edition Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Spring Basket that comes with two out-of-egg characters and four in-egg characters ready to be hatched.
  • Board books- Little ones will love “Happy Easter, Mouse,” the new story starring the beloved Mouse from the “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie” series. This time the Mouse is going on an Easter egg hunt and needs your kid’s help counting eggs and practicing colors.
  • Craft supplies- Nothing keeps kids busy like an art project and this set of four Easter Craft Kits comes with everything you need to create a hatching chick magnet egg, an Easter basket craft stick sign, a photo frame, and an Easter bunny wreath.
