Kids will come up with all sorts of excuses to get out of school, but one boy took a new route to explain to his mom why he missed his ride to school, and it has now gone viral.
A girl named Sarah recently shared a letter her brother left for his mom back in 2017 regarding the “tough decision” he made to miss his bus ride. “As your son, I regret to inform you that ive missed my means of public transportation,” he wrote. “I know you must be on a rollercoaster of emotions right now but rest assured, i’ve stayed home.”
The Missouri boy then shares a list of pros and cons regarding his missed school day, with “today was gonna be a bad one, can’t get over my hair,” a pro and “might become a habit” a con. He then explained to mom that when she returns he’ll “probably be in [his] bed moping about the fact that [he] can’t go to school.”
So, was the letter effective? Well, apparently yes, because Sarah says her mom did let her brother stay home that day.
