What’s better than a Target run? Getting to shop at Ulta while you’re there. And this is going to be possible starting next year, thanks to a new partnership between Ulta Beauty and Target. The retailers just announced plans to put the mini stores in more than 100 Targets beginning in 2021.
“In partnership with Ulta Beauty — a company that shares our deep guest focus — we are able to expand our growing beauty business with new, exciting brands, an immersive experience, and loyalty benefits to transform how our guests shop for all their beauty needs,” explains Target chairman and CEO Brian Cornell.
So what can we expect? The shops-within-shops will include an “Ulta Beauty at Target” section that’s about 1,000-square feet of space beside Target’s beauty aisles. The layout will mirror Ulta stores and will offer shoppers new and familiar brands. Target team members will also be trained to be “experts on prestige beauty offerings.” The stores will also include some of Ulta’s immersive tools, like GLAMLab, a virtual try-on tool. Shopping on Target’s website will also “reflect the look and feel” of shopping Ulta online, so you’ll be able to get all your favorite beauty buys with those Target perks we love, like free shipping and curbside pickup.
