Thursday morning the inductees for the 2017 class of the World Video Game Hall of Fame were announced at the Strong National Museum of Fun in Rochester.
The winners are judged on iconic status, longevity, influence and geographic appeal.
The 2017 winners were picked from a group of twelve nominees.
And, the inductees for the 2017 class are......
Pokemon Red and Green, which were around long before last summer's Pokemon Go craziness!
The other two: Street Fighter II and Halo: Combat Evolved.
The World Video Game Hall of Fame was started in 2015 at the Strong National Museum of Play, open seven days a week at 1 Manhattan Square Drive in Rochester. It's worth the trip for gamers and kids of all ages.
