As we head for high school graduation week, let me introduce you to a grad at the top of his class. He's a kid with brains and guts!
Peter Butera is the Class President and Valedictorian for his senior crew at a high school in Exeter, Pa. When he gave his commencement speech, his microphone was cut off when he was saying things that apparently the elders did not agree with.
It is not a political rant, or mean spirited. He was just a smart kid expressing his views to how things could be better at his school.
Wednesday morning Jimmy Kimmel invited Peter on his show to finish the speech that Butera's own school district would not allow Peter to do.
Two things to watch for below: the uncomfortable reaction of the school administrator during Peter's original speech on stage, and how intelligent and respectful Butera comes off during his interview on ABC.
Here's to a safe, Happy Graduation season ahead for all future leaders of America like Peter Butera!
