Remember when you watched MTV for actual music? That was so 1985.
Remember what those letters meant? Music TeleVision. It's where people would watch music videos before you could see them on any device. So, eventually the music side of MTV dwarfed into scripted and reality programming.
That brought us to "Jersey Shore" which focused on the drunken antics of a bunch of hooligans in Seaside, NJ. Names that became household jokes, like Snooki, The Situation, JWoww, Ronnie, Deena, Vinny and more.
The crew that brought us terms like "GTL" (gym, tanning, laundry) lasted for six seasons before they faded from conversation and our lives in 2012. Somehow, the geniuses at MTV have decided America needs more of their debauchery.
Hence, Thursday at 8 p.m. MTV takes us south to Miami Beach for "Jersey Shore Family Vacation". With our weather this week, a trip to Miami actually sounds good, but would you want to go with this tan clan?
Here's a peek at what we can learn from the brainiacs from Jersey ("learn" being a subjective term)
