Alessia Cara does an Elton John song older than her.

Pop star Alessia Cara was born in 1996.  Tuesday night on CBS she performed one of Elton John's biggest hits from the 80's, a song that went to number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1983.

Cara, born north of us in Brampton, Ontario, Canada, performed "I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues" during the tribute to EJ.  Here's her take on her big moment in front of one of her parents favorite singers.

Not bad for a 21-year-old!
